Eco-certified and ready for anything, our Great Whites Tour makes for an unforgettable experience. Departing at 7am from Port Lincoln, South Australia, participants enjoy stunning scenery on their way to Shark Bay at Neptune Island. Once here, the guides will attract sharks to the boat using vibration. In fact, the sharks are quite partial to ACDC!
Because the sharks are attracted by their curiosity and not by their hunger, this method is eco-friendly and safe. It also means you’ll meet calmer sharks. All tours operate using the current best practice guidelines. In fact, this tour has been awarded the highest eco-certification available in Australia.
Tour sizes are small and range from 6 to 27 passengers. Participants must arrive at Port Lincoln Marina 30 minutes prior to departure. The boat will return between 6 and 7pm. The tour boat is equipped with toilets, showers, and changing rooms. Tea, coffee, morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunch are provided. Merchandise and refreshments are available for purchase throughout the day.
Staff take photos during the tour, which are available for free download a week after the experience. Passengers are also encouraged to bring a GoPro or underwater camera. Disposable underwater cameras are available for purchase.
While on board, a $175 upgrade option is available, providing passengers with a chance to meet the sharks face-to-face! To have a heart-stopping swim with the sharks, a shark cage is provided. But for those passengers who prefer a little less adventure or simply to stay dry, the Aqua Sub provides a 360-degree view.
Men’s Gift Store experience vouchers are redeemable directly with the experience provider with full details provided upon purchase. Recipients have 3 years to use the full value of the voucher. This package includes a full day tour for one adult during the peak period of May-October and December-February. Passengers should bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a warm jacket. The option to swim with the sharks is provided if shark sightings are made at $175 on board. Please note: a park access fee of $39 is payable upon arrival at the departure lounge.
