Seppeltsfield Winery Centenary Tasting, SA

South Australia’s Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s absolute gems. Located 70km outside of Adelaide, it is a gorgeous and lush wine region steeped in history and German heritage. And what better way to experience its rich wine-making history, than by tasting a century-old fortified wine, within a century-old cellar, at the 165+ year-old Seppeltsfield Winery?

This voucher gives one person (min. two required) the opportunity to embark on a one hour tour of the world-famous Centenary Cellar, which houses the super-premium Paramount Collection of Tawnys. With one from every year dating back for over a century, this is the longest lineage of single-vintages on Earth!

During the tour, a wine educator will explain the history of the winery, and of the Paramount Collection, while also teaching guests about the important chemical changes taking place within the barrel as they age. And then, participants will get to see, smell, and taste these changes for themselves, by sampling several vintages in the range straight out of their barrels, including the famed 100 year old Para, as well as the Tawny made during their birth year!

Once the tour is over, there are plenty of other treats to discover in the region! There is the cooperage, where guests can see new wine barrels being made; the manicured heritage gardens; the traditional kiosk serving German-style beer in the picnic grounds; and of course dozens of other gorgeous cellar doors!
