Inspire the artistic guy inside him with our Novelty Cake cooking experience, where he will learn all the necessary techniques to produce a decorated white mud cake, both delicious and beautifully presented. Baking novelty cakes and the like has become increasingly popular in the comfort of our own kitchens. The 7-hour journey to baking perfection is guided by a passionate instructor, experienced and patient in their teaching methods, focussing on each individual getting as much out of the course as possible – making it ideal for every skill level.

A recipe book and an apron will be presented to the students upon arrival, and will be theirs to keep after the course is done – along with their amazing cake creations. Throughout the day, they will learn how to make the cake itself, along with toffee and other technical decorations such as sugar blowing, that will really take the cake!

Using the techniques of professional cake decorators, students will make a tall white mud cake; royal icing for decorations; cook sugar for blowing sugar balls and making sugar bubbles; learn the tricks to piping bag decorations; masking the cake itself; and methods to perfect coloured icing. Learning to create the cake from beginning to end is a truly satisfying experience – especially seeing their professional quality finished product to take away with them!
