The sunshine state is arguably the best spot to enjoy some cold, delicious and quality beers. Celebrate the new-found culture of boutique brews with our Coldie on the Goldie tour for one lucky guy. The tour includes some of the best spots found around the Gold Coast, where he can enjoy being chaufeered around in a private air-conditioned van from suburbs to sea – indulging in a lunchtime feast, sampling some of the most unique brews the country has to offer, and learning all about the history, flavours and brewing processes.
Starting with the ever-important lunch, his belly will be full and ready to take on the tasting extravaganza! He will enjoy his feast either at the famous Surfers Sandbar in Surfers Paradise, or Bine Bar in Mermaid Beach. Here he will wash down his mouth-watering meal with either a schooner or tasting paddle of brewed to perfection beers.
After devouring his dish, the next stop will be to Black Hops Brewing. Here, their intimate tasting room will showcase their creative craft beers, while giving him the opportunity to learn all about the brewing process, with the chance to talk directly with the beer makers and ask any questions.
Then onto Burleigh Brewing to check out their new and exciting location. Well-known for producing craft beer for the masses, they really know how to get that brew perfect. Here, he will be able to sample their core range, as well as special and seasonal releases of the time. And fingers crossed their brewery is in action that day, so he can take a tour through the entire process.
His final stop will include a visit to Balter Brewing – the perfect way to complete the Coldie on the Goldie tour. Whether sun-soaked outdoor cushioned seating is his thing, or hanging out amongst the stainless steels tanks inside their industrial style setting, he will love visiting this space. He can sample all of their fabulous newly tapped beers, while also having the chance to take a look around the brewery and seeing how creative boutique perfection is made!
Depending on what he is after at the end of the day, his private van can drop him at a spot convenientto him, or at a pub or bar suggested by the experience providers. The tour runs each Friday, and has 3 pick-up locations depeding on where he is. 11:15am – Helensvale station (a good middle point from all directions), 11:45am at the Loose Moose in Broadbeach, or 12:00pm meeting directly at lunch spot, Surfers Sandbar.
